CREI Ven has been acknowledged as a Competent Body in accordance with the European Directive 89/336/EEC with a departmental order of the Ministry of Communications of 16 October 2003, published in the Official Journal of the Italian Republic.
As a Competent Body, CREI Ven operates in the following sectors:
- industrial equipment
- scientific equipment
- information technology equipment
- electric and electronic household appliances
and may issue conformity marks approved throughout the European Community (Ref. Directive 89/336/EEC par. 10.2)
The conformity marks must be adopted if the manufacturer has not applied, totally or partially, the harmonised standards or whether there are no published standards on the subject.
In this case the manufacturer shall hold at disposal of the relevant competent authorities a technical construction file. This file shall describe the apparatus, set out the procedures used to ensure conformity of the apparatus and shall affix finally the mark of the Competent Body.
